OLEV Technologies is a Massachusetts based start-up with a vision to become a leading provider of OLEV™ (On Line Electric Vehicle) Technology, a zero emission, green transportation solution, based on wireless electric power transfer technology, and targeted at the electric vehicle industry.

The OLEV™ technology wirelessly powers and charges an electric vehicle (EV) via road-embedded power tracks. OLEV Technologies innovation in wireless power transfer (WPT) allows for the major hurdles facing inductive charging in the area of current, voltage, and frequency to be overcome by using Shaped Magnetic Field in Resonance (SMFIR™) technology. This proprietary method of Shaped Magnetic Field in Resonance (SMFIR™) safely and efficiently transfers electric power wirelessly from road-embedded charging strips, or an "electric road", to a relatively small on-board battery, and vehicle powertrain. One of the major innovations is that the vehicle can be charged not only when it is parked ("stationary charging") but also as it drives over the road-embedded charging strips ("in-motion charging"). No direct contact is necessary. 

The overall deployment cost for an OLEV-equipped vehicle is economically attractive compared to other alternative technologies and is 100% emission-free. The OLEV system solves the EV battery problem by delivering unlimited driving range; no down-time for recharging; and the battery size is physically smaller as well as less expensive.
